National Foster Care Month

May is National Foster Care Month!

And this year, that’s an especially big deal for us because we are officially on our way to becoming a licensed foster family!

I have so many conflicting feelings on foster care. I’m beyond excited to welcome children into our home. I can’t wait to meet them and love on them. But at the same time, I know that foster care is born out of brokenness. Children coming into care have experienced some form of abuse or neglect. And I know that a child in my arms means another mama’s arms are empty. There is so much heartache.

But there’s also hope. There is hope because our God is good. He creates families to be together, and while sin and brokenness may tear them apart, His redemption is mighty and He is working to make all things new. And there’s nothing we want more than to be part of that work.

So friends, we invite you to join us in this journey.
Walk along side us.
Be our support.
Pray for and with us.
Share in the grief & in the hope of reconciliation.
